Yes, Beth is the beautiful, and I'm the terrible, and we collide every day. Well, it's usually a pretty soft collision.

I was thinking that in cities that already regulate plastic bags, and even those that don't, we could push for laws requiring that the bags distributed by stores be printed with the words "REUSABLE" and/or "RECYCLABLE" (in smaller letters than "reusable", with directions for recycling), the way paper bags are. Unless they are already, but if so, I haven't noticed. I don't think stores could really complain, since they print all sorts of things (company name, etc.) on them already. Unless the ink used to print on bags is really evil, and makes the bags worse if the message is ignored and they do end up in landfills? Or the printing cost is really high? Just a thought.

Said Beth, in a manner sarcastic
"Will you be recycling that plastic?
If not, I'll go spastic
And do something drastic ...
You say you'll reuse it? Fantastic!"
