Think we can't live without plastic? Think again. In 2007 I committed to stop buying any new plastic & I've almost succeeded! Won't you join me? Let's see what plastic-free looks like in 2012... for the health of our bodies, our oceans, our planet. ~Beth Terry

When I was a kid, my Mom had my sister and me take little pink fluoride pills. And I have never had a cavity in my life, despite high sugar consumption. (OK, I have recessive gums, but that's a different matter. I think.)

Well, it's better than fluoride in the water, which saps and impurifies every one of our precious bodily fluids. Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream -- children's ice cream. A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. Do you know when fluoridation first began? Nineteen hundred and forty-six. How does that coincide with your post-war corporate conspiracy, huh?

my mom's a retired dental hygenist...she says no to the flouride. she doesnt use any and i cant really remember a time when she or my dad ever did (i did as a child!). as long as you do a GREAT job brushing and flossing it's not really needed. i use it though because i do a crappy job brushing and flossing so i use the kid one that stains your teeth before you brush. :)
*marika
