I’ve been trying to get more info from Aveda about this program, and in fact I took a bag of caps I’d found on the street to their store on 4th Street in Berkeley, but so far no one has gotten back to me with answers. Don’t know why and don’t want to endorse the program until I find out exactly what happens to all the caps. Not sure all of them get recycled into Aveda bottles.
