Think we can't live without plastic? Think again. In 2007 I committed to stop buying any new plastic & I've almost succeeded! Won't you join me? Let's see what plastic-free looks like in 2012... for the health of our bodies, our oceans, our planet. ~Beth Terry

I found out about Earth Cinema Circle from your blog about a year ago - when you changed the type of ads you were running I believe.

I did sign up through you and I LOVE it! The packaging almost makes me cry with the thoughtfulness of it.

Chiot's Run - just call them and they will share the information. I called and got the info but I can't find it right now.

Streaming video certainly has its advantages, but as it exists right now, it provides an experience for the lone viewer or maybe a few viewers at a computer screen. That will probably change in the future. But right now, DVD enables people to watch films together and to create film-watching parties. In fact, I'm going to one such film-watching party Saturday night, using the Addicted to Plastic DVD. It will include potluck dinner and discussion afterwards. We could not have the same experience if each of us were sitting at our individual computer screens watching the film.

This is very interesting packaging. Mr Chiots and I own a small production company and we've been searching for a more environmentally friendly and yet nice option for our final DVD's. I may have to try to find out where they get their stuff and see if it's within our means.

Thanks for sharing.

I have been a member of Earth Cinema Circle and have always been impressed by the powerful message these videos portray. It's always a treat to have these films arrive in eco friendly packaging!

I think it's great to get these films out into the world, but I can't help thinking that sending DVDs is just so...20th century. Wouldn't it be much lower-impact for Earth Cinema Circle to offer a subscription to high-quality streaming video of these films?
