Think we can't live without plastic? Think again. In 2007 I committed to stop buying any new plastic & I've almost succeeded! Won't you join me? Let's see what plastic-free looks like in 2012... for the health of our bodies, our oceans, our planet. ~Beth Terry

Thank you so much Beth for posting about The Daily Ocean. It looks like I am in some good, trashy company! I appreciate your efforts on Fake Plastic Fish to bring a community of people together trying to tackle the same huge problem from different directions. Your site is a great resource. Keep up the good work!

Other than blogging I'm not sure I do that well about the waste issue. I mean I'm on the board of directors for our recycling coalition and I reduce my own waste but not sure how much awareness on a local level I'm doing.

I really need to start an Oklahoma Sustainability chapter in Ada but not sure who will join other than my mom and I and I don't drive so that limits what I can do in a non walking or public trans town. Maybe after the holidays I will work more on this...

Anyway thanks for posting this, I will check out the blogs.
