08/25/10 Update:  The winners of the Little Bites containers and Luna Pads are Briana [1] and Gina [2].  Congratulations!

Blogher10Hi everyone. Didn’t want to leave you hanging or wondering if my plane fell out of the sky. I am back home from New York and trying get it together. I plan to put up a very thoughtful post next week about the BlogHer conference [3]– what I loved about it, what I didn’t love, and some hard decisions I have to make for the future.

Here are some photos from the conference and mini vacation in New York City for you to peruse in the meantime. I mean, if you care to. The photos on Facebook are easier to load because they are smaller. The photos on Flickr take longer but are great for those without a Facebook account.

Like last year, there was a ton of swag at the conference, most of which I left behind in the Swag Exchange room. But I did bring home a couple of things from the Green Soiree to give away:

Luna PadsLuna Pads sample pack. I love Luna Pads and use the liners every day. They are made from organic cotton and eliminate the need for disposable feminine hygiene products. Sadly, this sample pack comes in a plastic bag. Luna Ladies, what were you thinking??? Still,*The baggie looks like plastic, but it’s actually made from cellophane, a biodegradable tree product.  Please reuse it.  I’d love for one of you to try a pad and see for yourself. The pack comes with one Luna Pad, one cloth handkerchief, and instructions for use.

In addition to the sample pack, Luna Pads [8] is offering a $5.00 discount to the readers of BlogHer green bloggers. Use the Promo Code: BlogHer until 12/31/2010.  When you order, PLEASE make sure and request no plastic packaging.  :-)

Little Bites storage jarsKinderville Little Bites Storage Jars [9]. These containers are made from silicone instead of petroleum-based plastic and are airtight. Silicone, unlike plastic, is considered to be inert. Basically, it comes from sand. These containers are meant to hold baby food as well as lunch foods and snacks.

To enter the contest, please leave a comment letting me know which item you would like along with a suggestion for how to relax after a summer full of trips and activities. And it’s not even over.   I’m tired! But happy, too. The conference was a mixed bag, details of which I’ll share next week.
