It's great that you can buy your tea "in bulk" without too much plastic. I get mine from the bulk jars at Whole Foods or Rainbow Grocery. Our favorite organic rooibos supplier sold boxes (not wrapped in plastic) of bagged tea that used to come in paper individual wrappers; the latest (and last) box was opened to find 20 individual plastic bags, no indication on the outside what happened or that a change was made, I wanted to cry. I've been planning the switch to 100% loose leaf for a while, but that, and Christmas, clinched it. They're cheaper (by about 70%), they ship in 1# and 5# increments (and smaller, but I like bulk), and best of all, the only plastic involved was the tape on the shipping box. Their web site, http://www.mountainroseherbs.com lists a bunch of other company practices that indicate that they "get it". Until I can find a local producer for my hot beverage fix, or kick the habit, they'll have my business. My boyfriend indicates that the rooibos is the best he's ever tasted, too. Oh, they sell other stuff, like cream bases for cosmetics, that are all organic and natural, but I'm not that hard core... yet :D
