SmileHi, so I have been dedicating my senior year project in finding ways to find alternatives to reducing the amount of plastic I consume, and I came with a problem of disposing a lot of my cream cheese plastic containers. Also I encountered the problem that now that the weather is coming towards the summer time, I would like to purchase a plastic-free alternative to flip flops and water balloons\"Smile\"\"Smile\". Any suggestions?

Hi Patricia.  I definitely have a solution for you for flip flops: natural rubber/hemp flip flops from Feelgoodz.  I love them.  Here is my review:

Unfortunately, I don't have an alternative for water balloons except to find a different way to have fun.  Balloons are dangerous for animals when they get loose in the environment.

As for cream cheese, would you consider making your own?  I've never done it, but apparently it's not so hard:

Good luck with your project!

Use a water gun or bucket instead?

What about the foil wrapped cream cheese packages?

I'm pretty sure those "foil" wrappers are a composite of metal and plastic.
