To add a new topic: Decide which category it will be (plastic-free alternatives, plastic news, rants, etc.) and click on that category. Then, you will see the "Add Topic" button at the top right of the section for that category.

I've been buying bulk farfalle and spiral pasta for more than a year now, but have been craving ravioli, which I can't find plastic-free. So....I made my own! Yup, homemade ravioli (flour & semolina bought in bulk) filled with beets from my garden & homemade "ricotta" (only the caps from the glass milk & vinegar bottles), with a sauce of brown butter/sage and a side of sauteed veggies from the garden. I don't have a pasta machine but am thinking about a hand-cranked one, since my arms are still sore...
Does anyone have any recommendations on a (not too $$) plastic-free pasta roller? My new kitchen is kind of short on storage space, so I'd like something fairly compact. Or should I just keep working the triceps w/ the good old rolling pin?
