        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I forgot to make a note of the type of ink I tried.  (It was decidedly non-washable, since I was at a fabric design class.)  But you buy the ink separately, so I&#039;d imagine any bottled ink would do the trick.  We used several basic colors. </p>

<p>(Not sure how to make that a real link.)  They&#039;re totally plastic, but you buy the ink separately and it wicks into the markers through the writing surface.  They feel sturdy enough to go through gallons of ink before you&#039;d need new markers.  I&#039;m not sure how often they need re-inking, and the process isn&#039;t very kid-friendly.  They&#039;re smaller than a crayola marker -- closer to crayon size.  Worth a look if you find yourself throwing away a lot of plastic markers.</p>
