Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Thanks for the tip Beth. Somehow I missed this on your blog. I've got a couple of hair products still left in my apartment that I am working my way through. Once I have used up ALL of the products left, I will consider what to go with next. I've started getting my hair cut at an Aveda salon and I saw that some of their products have received cradle-to-cradle certification so I may explore some of that as well when it's time.

Hi Cat. I don't have a shampoo solution for you if the shampoo bars don't work out and you don't want to try baking soda. (I understand.) But have you tried the styling product called Product?

http://www.fakeplasticfish.com/2008/08/product-tames-frizzies-without.html

It comes in a glass jar. Yes, it has a plastic lid. But a little goes a very long way. I'm still using mine from a year ago. And it only contains 5 ingredients. In fact, I bet you could make it yourself!
