Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hi Billie. FYI: Mayonnaise is really easy to make at home in a blender. Seriously easy. Here are the instructions for the mayo that I made. Next time I think I'll use lemon juice in it:

http://www.fakeplasticfish.com/2009/01/plastic-glass-egg-salad-global-warming.html

Hi Billie. I find I have a lot of the same plastic food issues as you do -- meat, quick convenient meals I like when I need a quick convenient meal, and eating out. Like you I found the taking plastic home is a real conversation starter, for me, both with my fellow diners and with the restaurant staff/owners. And I'm still not organized enough to avoid it when I eat out.
Congratulations on your progress on all fronts.
