Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hi Beth!

Great idea. :-) We have two local orchards that sell cider. I'll try both. I know one already sells their apple cider vinegar in glass so it might not be too hard a sell.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Green Grrl. Thanks for joining the challenge! I'm wondering if you would be willing to speak to your local apple cider producer about bottling in glass. You could mention that you prefer not to eat food that is packaged in plastic. You might also suggest that they offer a choice to consumers if they feel glass is too expensive. Maybe let them know some people would be willing to pay a little extra for glass? What do you say?
