Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hi Erin!
That is awesome! I have a tip for the diapers. First you will have to change the the way they are washed. Do you wash yourself? That is the real question. If you do, then read below and this should help you.

First add 1-2 cups white vinegar to the wash, and about a cup of baking soda. (If you have a top loading machine, soak them in the machine, simply turn it off after the basin fills up) Otherwise put them in a large bucket, bathtub, or whatever you are using for holding the dirties would work, pour on the vinegar and soda then fill to cover the diapers, and mix it up a bit. In the morning wash them, all the way, then wash again. Do this to all your diapers, it may take several washings to get them all. Always wash each load with 1/2 cup baking soda for a regular washer or less for the water/energy efficient models. I would use Arm and Hammer Detergent. It is pretty natural and works GREAT with diapers. We used cloth with both our girls. HTH! :)
