Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Wow. You are doing an amazing job.

Keeping up with the junk mail is a challenge. I still end up with some mail that I can't do anything about, but I've had a lot of success getting off the promotional mailing lists.

I found wax-coated cheese at Trader Joe's. It comes wrapped in cloth instead of plastic. It's still kind of a lot of packaging, though.

I'd love to hear about your ketchup making when it's done. I'm going to try making ketchup from sundried tomatoes, since I can buy them in bulk.
