Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Jennifer, don't be ashamed! Just remember to bring a container for take out next time. I know it can be embarrassing at first. I feel your pain. :-) But after you do it for a while, it gets easier and easier. I actually posted about embarrassment a while back:

It seems like you are doing a great job already.

Oh, and regarding wine -- when I was drinking wine (I stopped drinking 7 months ago), I kept a list of the brands that came with natural cork stoppers instead of plastic. Are there wines you enjoy that use cork (a renewable resource that actually protects endangered species) instead of plastic?

Cheers for taking the challenge!
