Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

I do like Beth and put the produce right into a cloth bag. I just launder them as needed.

I found lemon juice in a glass bottle at our grocery store (still has a plastic lid, but it's a step). And of course, fresh-squeezed is a great option when time and laziness aren't barriers, as they often are for me.

Hi Lena. Well, you certainly got your plastic waste down from last week.

I don't worry about putting veggies into my reusable bags. I wash the bags like a wash my clothes. And I'm going to rinse the veggies anyway. But that's me.

I do like to carry a container with me always for just in case. I just found a collapsible silicone container for Jon. Maybe it would work for you too if you keep it in your purse.

I'm not sure how big that container is. There are others like it that I've seen.
