Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Rebecca - it's actually a 2009 calendar! It was a 'green' themed calendar (I see the irony here), and one of the suggestions on one day was to reuse the calendar pages as a notepad by writing on the back. So I've been going through them at work for the last two years and finally finished it up.

OK... I'm dying to know how the page a day calendar stand ended up in a plastic tally for mid-February. Is it possible that there could be someone more behind than I am when it comes to this stuff? :~)

Hi Sarah.

Congratulations on completing 4 weeks!!!

I wouldn't buy used nail clippers either, although we did get used cat nail clippers for the kitties. And medication is just a necessity sometimes. Believe me, I've been sick for two weeks and finally resorted to prescription cough meds in plastic.

About the cereal... It may be delivered in a plastic bag (do ask) but I'll bet it's a much bigger bag than what you would buy off the shelf. Smaller packaging to product ratio.
