Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hey Fonda. Just to be clear: EO is a different company from Organic Essence. EO is bottle everything in plastic, as far as I know. I don't know if Organic Essence is sold in stores, but you can order it online, so maybe you can have a friend order you some that you can pick up when you come visit. But making your own is a great option too. Here's the recipe I tried:

Hi! Sadly we dont have EO here. Next trip to the states I plan to stock up. I have some more lotion left, and it i will last ages. I was just given a new bottle, it is smaller then the one from this weeks tally - but it will last me a year probably. That bottle from this week I have had since I moved from the States 3 years ago.. so I just dont use lotion much. However, I did just get some local beeswax and some recipes to try out for homemade lotion!

I do feel that even though Scandinavia is on the forefront of sustainable issues often, that Norway specifically has less product options (since we are not technically part of the EU, we get less shipped in). I always look forward to my trips abroad to stock up on things that are not shipped in or would cost to much to ship in.

Maybe I can convince the local health food store to start carrying EO products!

Hi Fonda. If you don't have time to make your own, and if you can get this -- there is an organic lotion that comes in a compostable cardboard container:
