Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hi Laura,
First of all...I am NOT a septic tank expert. How ever, I am wondering if the Rid-X is a marketing ploy. I grew up in my family home which had a septic tank. As I recall, I remember only once a plumber coming out to check out the septic tank (perhaps there were more times and I just don't recall). And that may have been only a maintenance issue, I don't remember any a nasty icky events. We never added any products to the septic system and I'm not sure if any existed at the time. I agree, research septic tank maintenance, you may not have to buy any of that stuff.
