Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Thanks for the tip... living at the beach and with 3 kids... sunscreen is a must. Unfortunately, the little tin wouldn't last us very long. What I do to make the sunblock that we do buy last longer is by having my kids wear rash guards :) Also, I have some sunblock that is in a glass bottle. Granted it has a pump and plastic cap, but I think it's better than a complete tube :)

I actually found sunscreen in a metal tin the other day at Whole Foods! Just has a small ring of plastic around the edges of the lid. "Beyond Coastal Natural Lip & Face Screen"

I haven't used it yet (just starting to get sunny here in Oregon), but I'm excited to try it. It is small-ish, so maybe it's only cost-effective to use it for face and shoulders, and not your whole body.
