Total items: 4
Total weight: 175 grams / 6.17 onces
Items: Recyclable
3 Ice Cream Containers
1 Nugatti (Norwegian Nutella) Container
(all numbered)
Items: Nonrecyclable
none
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
I plan to make our own Nugatti/Nutella next time, I am not thrilled with all the ingredients in the store bought one. But Ole was still home injured and asked for it…
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
None this week
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
Technically none of this is essential. But it is summer and we are eating load of ice cream. However I have started playing with making my own.. our first batch this week (week 8) was great!
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
nugatti..
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
It is really interesting to me still to see that it is really only junk food in our count. We leave on summer vacation next week, so I will not be making/attempting to make homemade nugatti or more ice cream till August. However in August I am going to be avoiding refined sugar (and gluten) for the month, so I guess that will help with the count.
