Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Hi Sandy. Welcome and thank you for joining the challenge. I don't know about the tennis ball containers. All recycling facilities and programs are different, so the best thing would be to call your local recycler and find out what happens to those containers. My guess is that if they have mixed materials, they will not be recycled. Also, many areas only really recycle bottles and narrow-necked containers, so check to be sure you are putting the right things into the bin to begin with.
