See my week 1 post :)
Danielle’s personal blog: http://itstartswithme-danielle.blogspot.com
Total items: 9
1 cereal bag
1 gardein package
1 bubble wrap (from chocolates)
1 plastic wrap (from chocolates)
1 produce tag
4 caps/rings (from glass milk jugs)
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
Cereal: Can’t remember the last time I bought cereal. My husband and son were out of town and my two youngest asked… so it ended up being their “special” thing for the week :)
Chocolates: They were a gift from my son (in the airport on the way back from Alaska he saw chocolates and wanted to get us some). Obviously, getting chocolates at the store would eliminate plastic… but that wasn’t possible.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
Cereal: we eat granola (bought in bulk) instead.
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
