Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

I remember reading that post about the amazon deliveries awhile ago, it's a fantastic idea. Now if only amazon.ca had anywhere near the same offerings as amazon.com does! I would have never thought to look at an office supply store for TP, but I'll check out the Staples we have here & see what they've got.

We've been using this one for the last few years and will probably end up sticking with it despite the plastic if there's nothing else to be found.

Hi Kristin. Here's the post I wrote about Amazon toilet paper. I don't know if it's available in Canada via the Amazon route, but you can probably get it ordered through a local store. The TP is Seventh Generation, which has an extremely high percent of post consumer recycled content.

Recently, Margaret -- another Show Your Plastic participant -- found a different solution, which I have not tried since we still have a ton of toilet paper.

Here is the URL for the company that makes the tissue:

You'll have to check and see if it's available in Canada.

By the way, Ever-Green packages paper towels in a cardboard box, too. While I think we can do better than disposable paper towels, it is something to notice.
