We got both of our cat carriers secondhand. One we found via Freecycle, as I recall, and the other we found at a thrift shop. If I were you, I’d put a wanted ad on Freecycle or Craigslist and find one secondhand. There are a lot of people who no longer have pets but haven’t gotten rid of their old supplies. We got our cat litter boxes that way too.
