Take the challenge. Collect your plastic waste (both recyclable and non) for one week or more. Then photograph, tally, and post it here. What can we learn about our habits and lifestyles by examining our waste? And what changes can each of us make to leave the planet a little less trashy?

Sounds like you've found some good way to cut down/recycle your plastic Ann ..

Unfortunately my meds are the kind that come pre-packaged on a plastic/foil tray, and I'm not near a city so no EnviroWaste centres to take bubble wrap too either .. But that's ok as it's extremely rare I order new books, and simply request packages be sent in cardboard not plastic :D

Doing really good on the plastic-free front actually - so much so that the last 3wks worth of our household rubbish fits inside an Udon noodle packet and is still only 3/4 full!

I'm in Dunedin, New Zealand, and Clare Marie, we have a local recycler (not the same as the street recycling) who takes clingwrap and all #4 plastics, i.e. includes bubblewrap. Also, can't help for medication on plastic/foil cards, but my pharmacists allows me to have him refill all my family's pill bottles - I leave the label on, and he fills like with like. If it is a finished prescription, not to be repeated, I wash the bottles and remove the label, for another need, another time.
