Location:Santa Cruz, California, United States
Name: Alejandra Hernandez
I am a college student, I have a roommate. I do have a job away from where I live.
List of plastic items REFUSED this week. (Yay!)
Total items collected: 20
Plastic food packaging
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
Zip-block baggies and plastic wrap
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
Decrease the number of packaged food I buy. Perhaps buy foods with resealable packaging.
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
Many that I use daily were either packaged in plastic or have plastic. A lot of the food that I eat come from plastic packaging. Just me, I learned that I use a lot of plastic, so I cant imagine how much a population of a city or a country daily.
