Retail Plastic Garment Bags
July 14, 2014 - 9:41 am

When I shop retail, I normally take the garment I buy, without a plastic bag. The clerk normally urges me to take the garment wrapped in plastic. I’m wondering if there is any way to recommend to the store an alternative to plastic. Is there any product out there that a retail store could use that isn’t too expensive, as an alternative to plastic wrap? Then, I could urge the store to use it.

Bring your own garment bag or recommend a paper one. Not sure they exist but it sounds like a good idea.

Hi Dana. By “garment bag” do you mean a regular department store type of shopping bag, or are you talking about the kind of bag you get from the drycleaners?
