Styrofoam Phase Out Vote in San Jose, August 27, 2013
August 23, 2013 - 8:18 pm

Word on the street has it the San Jose, CA city council will be voting on August 27, 2013 to phase out Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) otherwise known as “styrofoam.” If approved the city would gradually phase out use of styrofoam for food vendors, restaurants, but also include more analysis for expanding the phase out of styrofoam in Santa Clara County. Check out the SJ city council agenda for 8/27/13, and voice support at the city council meeting if you wish, or if you live in San Jose, contact your council rep to voice your support.
