I tried using soap instead of toothpaste last night (as Beth’s book suggested) and it worked!  It didn’t taste bad at all.  I used Sunlight soap.

I’m making boxes (origami) with newspaper instead of using plastic bags in the kitchen bin.  I use the packaging from the toilet paper in my bathroom – it’s paper.

Mary, I’m so glad the soap works for you. I couldn’t do it without throwing up. But then, cilantro makes me want to throw up too — and I think it tastes like soap. I wonder if the two are related. LOL.

Would you be interested in writing a guest post about how to make the origami bin liners? Email me at beth [at] myplasticfreelife [dot] com if you are interested. I think it would make a great blog post!
