Fabric softener pouches rather than sheets
January 19, 2010 - 3:30 pm

Has anyone tried these fabric softener pouches?

The comments say they are good at reducing static, but I’m wary of that. Also: worried I’ll end up with powder on all my clean clothes when a pouch spills open. I’ve also heard of people putting a little liquid fabric softener on a wash cloth and popping that in the dryer with the wet laundry as a dryer sheet – how well does that work for reducing static?

I’m still using Bounce unscented, but I’m exploring my alternatives.

Hmm… I really wonder how they soften the clothes. Do they actually soften or just help them smell nice? Ameliaamy, are you willing to try it out and report back? :-)

I’d try it, but we stopped using the dryer last year after we got a wooden clothes drying rack.
