Organic options https://myplasticfreelife.com/discuss/plastic-free-alternatives/oberweiss-vs-organic-options/#p1143 Plastic-free Alternatives https://myplasticfreelife.com/discuss/plastic-free-alternatives/oberweiss-vs-organic-options/#p1143 Milk was the single biggest challenge for me, since I make my own yogurt and had no plastic-free options where I lived in FL.  Since moving to VA, I have found milk in glass bottles (yes, w/plastic top & ring, which are recyclable) from a VA dairy.  WOW what a difference in taste  - so much better than any commercial milk I've had since I was in England (they use more local suppliers there)!!! Also, because it's more local, it's not subjected to the Ultra-high Temp pasteurization that long-distance milk needs for cross-country travel, so it's the only milk I've found that I can make homemade mozzarella from.  So yes, go for the milk in glass and you'll never go back to plastic or plastic-coated paper cartons (which actually pose more of a problem for recycling).

Well more like suggestions- Anyway. We are drinking generic milk in plastic bottles and Lucerne brand milk in paper-plastic coated carton. I'm wondering if Oberweiss would be a good choice for a greener alternative. It's glass bottle, has a plastic top I believe. :/ but they are local for me! Wisconsin and northern IL. I live in Chicago so it's in the area. Also Is it worth it to drink organic milk? It's all quite confusing with so many milk options. I'd appreciate some input. Thanks!
