plastic free baby
July 16, 2014 - 8:13 am

Since having a baby I have found it very difficult to avoid plastic.  I use cloth diapers,  a stainless steel bottle, rubber chew toy and pacifier (that she does not like) and I purchase other plastic items 2nd hand, like baby swing, high chair which is wood except for tray, and activity center now that she is 6 mos. But I haven’t found a plastic free bottle brush or plastic free of the items purchased 2nd hand. I HATE that so many things for babies are plastic and most of those things end up in baby’s mouth. I feel a little better buying plastic items that can be reused by someone else like the activity center, but still hate that the same item is non recyclable.  And I really don’t like to buy plastic items that are consumable like formula containers and bottle brushes. But what other choices are there?
