Breakeven Uses of Reusables vs Single Use

Hi All,

I’ve had several people ask me the old question… “what’s more environmentally friendly? this or that?”

There is a lot of conflicting info out around some really important topics like single use plastics. So I have started to break it down and come out with a “breakeven number”.

Breakeven Number: how many time do you have to use a reusable bottle / cup / bag before it becomes more environmentally friendly than using the single use alternatives?

Here is my explanation:

Bags – Reusable vs Disposable: What’s Better for the Environment

Cups – An Honest Comparison of Single Use vs Reusable

More to come soon!

I would really appreciate some feedback from the experienced plastic free advocates out there. Is this helpful? Am I missing anything? What should I cover next?
