Fake Plastic Cork Plant Markers

Despite my best efforts to buy only real cork or twist-off top wine, I know I’ve got a box full (OK, I like wine!) of those horrid fake corks.  As thoughts turn to spring, gardening, and realizing the 12 rows I planted two weeks ago are now all starting to look the same, I’ve found a perfect way to re-purpose those nasty corks.  Using a cork, a marker of some type (i’m going to try pencil, though the article shows permanent marker) and bamboo skewers, make plant markers!   As a bonus, a green craft project which doesn’t use glue!!

Thanks so much for this suggestion! I love wine too ? plus we often have bamboo skewers left that are getting too ratty to reuse and I have a huge vegetable garden where the kids often struggle to find things. This will work so well and I love being able to up cycle items.
