List of plastic items REFUSED this week. (Yay!)
Salad dressing: I made caesar salad :)

… yeah, I have a really long list, but once again… this post is late and I forgot to make one.

Total items collected: 13

Total weight:

Items: Recyclable

Items: Nonrecyclable
1 cereal bag
2 produce ties
1 plastic wrap (from parmesan)
7 caps/rings (milk in glass jugs)
1 seal (worcestershire sauce)
1 package herbal tea

What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
Tea: I’ve had this herbal tea for over a year. I buy bulk, but when my son was complaining of a sore throat… I thought it was worth using it.

What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
Cereal: it’s a special “treat” for my kids. I’ve been slowly weening them from eating it. We used to buy a couple boxes a week and now we rarely buy it. :)

What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
worcestershire: I’m not sure if it’s essential… but I sent my husband to the store to get some things to make caesar salad. He picked the only glass bottle. It had plastic seal and a plastic lid. Though annoying… it will last A LOT longer than a bottle of salad dressing. :)

What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
Apparently, making risotto once created a mass addiction. Between the caesar salad and risotto we went through parmesan unusually fast. :/

What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?

What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
