Name: Danielle
Week: 45
Personal Info:
Collecting our family of 5’s plastic waste for 52 weeks. See my week 1 post for more info 🙂

Total items: 7
Total weight:
Items: Recyclable
none
Items: Nonrecyclable
1 bread bag wrapping
4 caps/rings (from milk in glass jugs)
2 styrofoam packaging (from my new blender)
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
Bread: normally make or buy from bakery. I needed bread… didn’t have time to make bread or run to bakery… soooo (gasp)… I bought bread from the grocery store.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
Blender. I was bummed that my blender broke… BUT… I love my new blender sooooo much. Sucks it came packaged with styrofoam.
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
