Total items: 15

Total weight:

Items: Recyclable
Down-cyclable – none

Items: Nonrecyclable
* Bag for peas – a friend gave, but very nice as I´ve not bought them in about 2 years!

* A can – tomatoes are tricky.

* Top of Colmans mustard – up until 2 years ago it was metal.

* Toothpaste

* Yogurt pot – will reuse for seeds, but no excuse.

* Razor holder, thought better than disposable, maybe not…? The re-fill also come in plastic.

* Plastic bag x 3 – 2 bread colleges bought at new job, 1 for dividers for a file for work

* Filter for a camera lens case – the filter’s long gone.

What items can I replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
I´ll have to take my own bread to work, the closest shop only has it in plastic. But didn´t want to seem rude when they bought it.

I need to learn how to make yogurt…

What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?

What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
Razors

Toothpaste I have found in metal! But the lid is still plastic.

Although other tins are easy to give up, tomatoes do jazz a meal up & there isn’t an alternative, I don´t think. Not until next year when I´ll try & grow & jar my own.

What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
Getting in the kitchen & making yogurt, not sure why the thought of it scares me…

I should of thought & made dividers.

What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?

What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
Maybe I should write to Colmans. But writings not my strong point. I´ll look about

I end up with far more plastic than I thought I would!!
