Items: Recyclable
1 (#2) lid
Items: Nonrecyclable
1 cap (from milk)
1 pull tab
1 milk container
2 packages (turkey, & veggie dogs)
1 condiment cup
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
I’m really really missing my local milk. Bummed.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
The condiment cup is from my daughter’s lunch. We were out and she asked for honey mustard. I’m not sure if she’s willing to give it up, but she did complain that it was in plastic and wished they served it in glass!!
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
My kids like turkey every now and then… there’s not a store that sells organic turkey, so buying it like this is our only option.
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
I feel like I’m at a stalemate with reducing plastics… we make every effort we can… and with 3 kids I’m really happy with what we’re accomplishing. Not perfect, but I’m not going for perfection. Just not sure where to go from here…
