List of plastic items REFUSED this week. (Yay!)
1… Plactic bag from grocery store.
Total items collected: 23
Total weight: N/A
All is plastic not sure how many are recyclable.
Probably all of them.
What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
The gatorades and water bottles. For the water bottles, I dont buy cases often. And probably keep it that way. I do buy the 2.5 gallon and keep it in the fridge. Also I reuse the emptys and refill them up. As for gatorades not given those up. But could follow same method as i did for water.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
The small water bottles or gatorade bottles
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
The gatorades. They all come in plastic.
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
Buy containers for fill of water. Buy glass, carton, or different route if you can.
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
Water bottles. I’ll drink from tap, or public fountain.
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
Be really couscous of what you buy. Reduce consumption to a less or better alternative.
