What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?

What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?

What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?

What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?

What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
Sometimes I have to go to the Foodbank to make ends meet. Unfortunately, many of the donated items come from grocery stores when the expiration date is nearing. I’ve received lots of pasta, tortillas, pita pockets, bread, sliced fresh fruit, microwaveable vegetables: all things wrapped in excessive plastic that I normally wouldn’t buy, but, hey, beggars can’t be choosers….
