What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
I could buy more fruit from the farmers market to reduce the stickers, make tortillas and chips from scratch or buy from bulk bins (the chips are just more stale though!), buy bulk tea, buy growlers of beer instead of bottles.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
Ice cream and cheese.
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
Fish food
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
Only shop once a week to reduce the number of receipts. Switch to silk floss?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
I have come pretty far in my plastic free journey, but I still have a way to go.
