List of plastic items REFUSED this week. (Yay!)
Grocery bags
Total items collected: 18
Total weight: 3.9 ounces
Items: Recyclable
Tray from package of fig bars – was in my desk from last tax season
Air packaging from an Amazon package from my mom – Apples to Apples for my birthday!
Subway bag
Bulk bin bag from a while ago
Soup lid from Elephants Deli – it’s downstairs in my office building. They have quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, and the tomato soup is great! Their utensils are compostable; the lid apparently isn’t, it says #5. Next time I’m going to see if they’re ok with me bringing in a pyrex container to use.
Prescription bottle
Molded packaging from my new nifty refillable multi-color pen for work.
Items: Nonrecyclable
Plastic-lined paper bag of croutons from New Seasons – the most amazing croutons! It seems that paprika is the secret.
Cup, lid, and straw from Burgerville
Package from fig bars
Frozen pizza wrapper
Wrapper from a box of mason jars
2 rubber bands/tags from broccoli in my produce box
Food Should Taste Good chips bag
