Plastic Challenge: Nan, Week 6
Starting to really miss tortilla chips! Not sure if I’m asking how to get over feeling deprived (which of course, I’m not really deprived), or a plastic-free alternative?
What do people do about tape?

What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
cat food – this was a gift treat
newspaper bag- still working on this one. Company said I can get it without plastic, but had a substitute carrier so seems there was a mix up.
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
generally fresh berries in winter (this was a special treat for a party)
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
sometimes tape seems essential
bandage for work (I work in healthcare so must cover cuts with a bandage, but may try some alternatives at home)
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
would need to preserve more food when in season here
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
kale tag -found a type of kale without a tag
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
Feeling a little discouraged, especially with the backlog of plastics hanging around the house.
