Plastic Challenge: Rik Boland, Week 3
So found out that I do not have to use big bin linners in the bin but wrap up the refuge or put it in carrier bags. So I have been eating fresh food and cooking myself meals this week, partly because of the plastic expense and partly due to needing to get extra vitamins because of ill health.

What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
The platic windows in envelopes and the plastic covers on gift cards, why why why? realy silly!
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
I need to put extra bags in my bag when I go shoppping.
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
I have really reduced my waste to next to zero in few weeks with thought and planning. Yes it takes kinda a lot of thinking about and I know that it will be real hard with a family. I am enjoying this!
