What items can I easily replace with plastic free or less plastic alternatives?
byo thermos to the cafe instead of to go cups for tea
grate my own cheese rather than buy pre-shredded [hence, another deli container]
bring my own cloth sacks rather than grocery store conveniently placed plastic bags for veggies
What items would I be willing to give up if a plastic free alternative doesn’t exist?
plastic cutlery!
plastic lids for tea!
What items are essential and seem to have no plastic-free alternative?
certain preferred brands of beauty products that i am unwilling to give up!
What lifestyle change(s) might be necessary to reduce my plastic consumption?
move. 🙂
What one plastic item am I willing to give up or replace this week?
plastic lids on tea!
What other conclusions, if any, can I draw?
i used/purchased almost 20 items less of plastic this week! amazing. it is a small conscious choice way back in the bottom left drawer of my brain. and still it worked! this time, instead of piling all the plastic i used into a big mess & taking a picture, i laid the pieces all out individually. gives a much clearer picture & is way more effective in seeing what i actually used.
